Jeffrey Lewis & Peter Stumpfel

A mega awesome show in Birmingham (via getting lost a lot). Jeff was great, showed a couple of very neat cartoons about Pocahontas and the French Revolution. Peter Stumpfel was a superbly moustached revelation. Together they sung about five classic Jeff songs, and the rest of a lengthy (in a positive respect) set was dedicated to songs written by Stumpfel or his label mates from 'freakfolk', such as the classic 'Bottle Caps' up above there. Jeffrey had a hilarious argument with the sound guy afterwards to really complete the night.
