I wonder if we turned Ireland into one giant retirement home for the entire population of Europe if we wouldn't kill two birds with one stone. The entire country could be employed in the service of it, with democratic elections to decide the head of the company, meanwhile the overcrowded and ageing cities of Europe would have a vent for all of their grey-haired surplus. Ireland would effectively become the gateway to heaven, which the Catholic church would love, think of the purgatory fees they would rake in! Not to mention the relocation of such manufacturing giants as Worthers Original and Bovril to the emerald isle.
!AND right-wing conservative parties would finally stop winning elections (except in Ireland a'course)!
