So good at standing next to chicksHaving never read the comics and avoided all trailers and potential plot spoilers (this same tactic worked well with Kick-Ass) I went into the cinema knowing only this - that Michael Cera plays a slightly dorky hero - so far so predictable. Fortunately I <3 Mikey Cera forever so that wasn't likely to be a huge issue, and as it turned out his character is, subtly, an asshole. The fight scenes are incroyable (french for FUCKING AMAZING), all the characters are utterly loveable, including Jason "Rushmore4evs" Schwartzmans evil villain. The chick in it, (who was also in Deathproof and some lame looking romcoms) is unfeasibly hot in whichever colour of hair she chooses, and even better the music played by the band in the film is written by Beck! So y'know its actually listenable. Sex-bob-omb roolz. Oh shit completely forgot to mention Kieran Culkins delightful turn as Scotts gay house/holeintheground-mate. The Culkins do gay good. see Party Monster
incidentally not looking forward to the rafts of dorks who are going to be wearing those t-shirts soon
